NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
today's the 1st day of 2004..
n i've tot of wad i shd do for the rest of the year already..
puhehe.. can't help feeling proud of dis achievement.. *yay!!!* ^^V
1) sit in the 1st few rows during lessons so dat i will not sit thru lessons -- in a daze *preferably the front left hand corner of the classroom where the fengshui is best.. puhehe.. ^^*
2) bring my xue2 ye4 fu2 to every test and examination
3) walk and munch faster so dat i will not b late for lessons..
4) STUDY haaarrrd...
5) cut my nails every week
6) jog once or twice a week 2 destroy yuzhe and xiya's source of entertainment.. *hmph*
7) snip of my tv cable *so dat i can't even ATTEMPT to watch tv.. wahahaha!!!* <-- so smart!
8) ask my mom not to buy mushroom chips so dat i can't eat them...
9) hide all my CDs during the big tests/exams so dat i can't find dem n listen 2 dem
10) behave in such a way dat i wun b laffed at/ made fun of/ suan-ed
11) keep quiet
12) be less action-packed
hmm.. i guess datz all for now... will continue 2 tink of wad i shd do nxt time..

i wanted the hairdresser to snip off a BIT of my bangs
but but but..
she snipped off a chunk!!!

now my bangs are falling all over my face..

she changed my parting...
now some strands of hair are lost..
i can't figure where dey're supposed to belong..

my dad dared me to write an essay based on my egypt tour..
and he promised a cellphone if my essay is.. erm.. passable..
grrr... daddy belittled me.. hmph!
so i did..
i haf nothing 2 lose anyway..

when i finally accomplished my task after a wk
he showed my essay 2 his fren working in SPH..
and dat uncle was soooooooo nice!
he passed my essay..!!!! ^^V
*altho i wrote a large portion of it in han yu pin yin cuz i dunno how 2 write the chinese words..*
so daddy gotta fulfil his promise..
serves him right for tinking i DAT lousy.. :p
but now i've met a bigger challenge..
i dun noe which phone to buy..
i like dis panasonic phone wif a BIIIIG screen..
and the samsung phone wif rotating lense is kool too..
but the LG phone is not too bad either..
they're all sooooo tempting..
how cld they...
the manufacturers are all evil..
put me in such dilemma.. rawr!
so in the end..
i dun tink i'm gonna get any phone..
cuz i can't decide which to get..

hmm.. x'mas is over..
din rly enjoy it..
cuz it's juz like any other day..
shopping, shopping, shopping...
got a super nice pullover for myself thou.. *at least i tink it's nice.. ^^V*
and ate at kuishin-bo's..

BACK
lala.. juz returned frm egypt..
hmm.. i guess it rly isn't as mysterious as i tot..
juz dat the ancient structures are reeeaally impressive..
TEMPLES:
actually, the pyramids are not wat impressed me most..
it's in fact the ancient egyptian temples dat r mesmerizing..
the carvings are sooo pretty..
and the stone pillars are so tall..
it's really amazing how the ancient egyptians managed 2 carry such heavy stones and put them in place..
and the ancient egyptian gods are really cool too..
i like horus.. it's a falcon.. or rather.. a cute little bird.. ^^V
i took a photo wif it.. hehe..
PYRAMIDS:
i went to see the giza pyramids.. *the largest of all pyramids*
and was quite amused that despite it's size,
the interior is really small..
even for my height * i'm short.. i noe.. hmph!*
i haf to bend down to get in..
and the interior is so small that there's a lack of oxygen in it..
nothing too interesting in the pyramid..
so i decided to climb up the stone slabs..
but a guard stopped me..
TOMB:
the tombs are really pretty too..
i went into the tomb of Ramses II..
heard that he's the greatest of all pharoahs <-- did i spell it rite? i guess not.. opps..
and yup.. his tomb is beautiful..
pretty carvings on the walls and ceilings..
and the pictures are colored too..
*but i got rather confused cuz i cldn't differentiate temples frm tombs.. their interior decor r the same.. :P*
KING TUTANKHAMEN:
his remains are REALLLLIEE cool...
basically there's a golden mask.. the sarcophargus <-- did i spell it rite again? (^_^")
then there's his coffinS..
his body is placed in 3 coffins..
and the coffins are in turn placed in 4 boxes..
and they're all varnished wif gold, if not made of gold..
and his jewellerys, arm chair, slippers etc..
they're all soooooo astonishing..
and i realised dat my sandle's design sort of copied his.. hmph!
SPHINX:
it's wonderful..
but the face is quite destroyed..
wat a pity..
i tried to take a photo wif it but some taiwanese obasang pushed me away..
and they kept telling me:
"jotomate.. sumimasen.."
as if i'm japanese -_-|||
MUSEUM:
it's magnificent..
my guide said that if u're gonna spend 1 minute 2 look at each antique..
u'll need 9 mths to finish wif evrything..
THE ROYAL MUMMIES:
i was freaked by the idea of looking at mummies..
esp when my guide told us proudly n enthusiatically that:
" u can still see clearly the bones, hair and teeth.."
brrr.... i'd rather not look..
so i didn't.. hehe ^^V
FOOD:
egyptian food is close to indian food..
alot of beef, mutton and spices..
i dun quite mind the food there..
but eating egyptian food juz makes me appreciate chinese, western, korean n jap food even more..
feeling hungry now..
GIFTS:
i tot there'll b alot 2 buy in egypt..
but datz not true..
they do haf accessories but they're... erm.. not very pretty <-- hehe.. politically correct phrase ^^V
in the end i juz got papyrus bookmarks for evryone..
sorry..
but i'm low on budget..

i tink i've got enuff for the whole of LEP thou..
CONMEN:
they're plain EVIL...
they'll say " $1.. " in front of their shop..
but when u approach them.. they'll mark up the price to $5..
and when bargainning.. u can cut the price down by 75% if u're good at it..
but i'm obviously lousy..
got cheated by them..
paid much more than i shd.. *cries*
TOILET TIPPING:
in egypt.. u gotta tip for evrything..
my dad was quite lame..
he actually paid 20 egyptian pounds to the toilet attendant..
dat is arnd S$5.. (O.o)
madness..
PHOTO TIPPING:
dis is full of ridicule too..
my fren took a photo wif a guard and he actually asked her for tips..
wth.. (?!?)
den there dis old man who approached us to take photo wif him..
we didn't wana do dat
and he said "free.. free.. no money"
and he dragged my aunt to take the photo..
den later he forced her 2 pay US$2 for the photo..!!
DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!!!!!!!!!
he forced my aunt 2 take a photo wif him in the 1st place!!
after dat he pulled me 2 take a photo wif him too..
but i pulled myself away n ran off..

TOUR
puhehe.. my laggue is stuffed till it's sooo fat..
hmm... rite now it's 5.30pm but i'm gonna slp soon..
not a nap.. but a REAL deep slp..
will hafta wake up at 12am to bathe and evrything..
the cab will come between 1-2am to pick us up and send us 2 the airport..

here i come.. *yay*
brought a few nice CDs to listen there..
plus tian1 long2 ba1 bu4 to read on the plane..
and not forgetting.. my dearie baby panda to hug n play wif..
a 10hr flight..
brr.. how unbearable..
will go drop by a candy store later to buy some chocolates..

TOY
i dunno y but every time i've decided to buy a toy,
i'll buy the one i've picked up 1st instead of choosing the toy wif the best condition (out of the many of the same kind..)
i dun like the idea of picking up a toy and then rejecting it..
placing it back on its shelf..
it's so hurtful..
can u imagine how sad it is if u're the one being rejected?
juz becuz u haf a speck on ur fur and den u're deprived of a home?
it's so unfair..
i hate to discriminate "things" (toys) becuz of the way they look..
no1 will choose to look bad if they have a choice..
it's alrdy so unfair that they dun haf the prettiest looks..
y shd we add on to the injustice by discriminating them?
let's all stop discriminating..
i noe it's difficult..
esp when it comes to real like examples.. *looks at yuzhe n xiya*
so i tot it'd b easier to start from toys..
dun pick them up and then place them back again..
even if there's some slight problem w them..
dun gif them false hope..
if evryone does dat..
it'll never b able to find a home..

i can imagine baby tigger's disappointment when i placed it back on the shelf..

i'm sick..
to make it simple..
i'm sick wif flu, sore throat n cough..
but wat dampened my spirits most is dat..
i can't even smell the yummy, fuitty fragrance of --
my 'LUX Kids' shampoo..
it's supposed 2 b strawberry smoothie flavor..
but i can't smell the nice strawberry smell..
thx 2 my blocked nose..
sadness..
plus..
i lost my voice..
can't talk much now..
even if i try so hard..
cuz i'm croaking like a frog..
grr..
gotta drink the un-yummilicious medicine later..
hate it..

i want my voice back..
i want my nose to clear..
i dun want my throat 2 hurt anymore..
